Cardiac Physiology

Waikato hospital is home to our group of 17 Physiologists and 5 Technicians that make up the Cardiac Physiology department. We have a great working environment and strive to deliver the highest level of care when it comes to our patients. With a good balance of senior and more junior physiologists ensuring there is always a good support network for all our staff, including trainees.

About Us

 

Our services cover Ambulatory monitoring, ETT’s, Cath lab (including interventional and structural), Device implants and clinics and EP studies. We also run device clinics to Thames and support device clinics in Lakes, Gisborne and Taranaki.

 

Waikato DHB serves a population of more than 426,300 and covers more than 21,000km2, stretching from northern Coromandel to close to Mt Ruapehu in the south, and from Raglan on the west coast to Waihi on the east. The Waikato provides a beautiful backdrop for a great work/ life balance with Hamilton city and all its entertainment at our doorstep, beautiful walks, lakes, waterfalls and bike trails, a 45 min drive to Raglan and the beauty of the west coast and an easy drive down to the ski fields.
