  • Our dedicated team of onsite Cardiologists, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Cardiac Physiologist, Echo Sonographers and Medical Technical Technicians are providing an excellent service to our people

  • Your experience will include cardiac rhythm management including pacemaker and ICD follow ups, holter and event monitoring, ambulatory blookd pressure monitoring and stress testing. While you will have a great cardiology and medical technician team to work alongside you will be the only cardiac physiologist in the area and so must be experienced enough to lead some services.

Cardiac Sonographer

  • The role of a cardiac sonographer is primarily to perform echocardiograms though may be required to perform other competencies within the cardiac physiology scope of practice. Inherent in the practice of this role is being patient focused and maintaining professional standards. The role holder will be based at Wellington Regional Hospital though may, on occasion be required to work at other Central Region District Health Boards of Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, Whanganui, Mid-Central, Hawkes Bay, and Nelson Marlborough.

  • Perform all Echo and related tests to a high standard ensuring the needs of the patients accessing the Cardiology Services are met.  This includes, Paediatrics, Stress Echo, TOE, and Adult. 

  • Holds a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Cardiac Sonographer and is able to work independently
