The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology is the professional society for all those working in the field of Cardiac Physiology, in particular: Clinical Physiologists and Physiology Technicians.
As explained on the Registration Page of this website, in order to gain/maintain professional registration with the CPRB, you must be a member of the SCT. If you are a Respiratory or Sleep Physiologist, you need to be a member of those professional societies. If you perform cardiac tests as part of your work, then you m ay need to belong to more than one professional society.
Levels of membership:
- Associate - This is for those who are currently studying towards an SCT qualification (CPM or CCP)
- Ordinary - For members who hold an SCT qualification
- Affiliate - For affiliated membership only
Note: Affiliated Membership is for someone who works in the cardiology field who has not gained an SCT qualification but holds other relevant qualifications as accepted by the SCT. A full CV is required for this membership type with copies of your qualifications.
Membership Fees
The current yearly fees for membership to SCT is $50 NZD.
